The Sit. our partners

global partner

We are thrilled to be one of the organisations chosen to be a part of Lululemon’s global “Here To Be” program for 2022.

“Here To Be” is Lululemon’s social impact program that disrupts inequity in wellbeing through movement, mindfulness, and advocacy.

As a charity and a movement, we are deeply embedded in supporting local community.

The partnership with Lululemon is pivotal for us in realising our global vision and we look forward to their support and guidance on the journey.

our beneficiaries

Through our work in the community, we have had the privilege and opportunity to use our community ecosystem and resources to be a vehicle for positive impact within other aligned charitable organisations.

Over the past 2 years, the Sit. has been fortunate to support lifeline and has raised over $75,000 through its events and initiatives.

Lifeline is a non-profit organisation that provides free, 24-hour telephone crisis support service in Australia. Volunteer crisis supporters provide suicide prevention services, mental health support and emotional assistance, not only via telephone but face-to-face and online.

In 2021, our team raised over $10,000 for the Head Above Water 24 hour swim challenge.

Head Above Water was founded in response to the high rate of suicide on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and the mental health challenges faced by many in the community.

We believe that harnessing the power of a positive, supportive network is the most effective way we can make a difference.

a thank you message from lifeline

right now, more lives are on
the line than ever before

In desperate times, people turn to lifeline.
Nationally, lifeline is now receiving over 3,000 calls a day in Australia, that is one every 30 seconds.

The team at the Sit community (formerly making meditation mainstream) acknowledges the difference lifeline makes in our immediate community and knows our services are overwhelmed by demand.

Created in response to escalating suicide rates and mental health challenges experienced in our communities, the Sit community was in a unique position to help.

Our partnership with the Sit community highlights the need to support lifeline’s critical phone services.
The covid-19 response 24-hour breathing room and 28 for twenty eight campaigns were successful examples of our partnership, supporting the community – raising over $75000.

It is no exaggeration to say that without support such as the Sit community, we simply could not continue to operate and deliver our core services to the public as we create connections with people in crisis and empower individuals and communities to be safe from suicide.

We truly look forward to the invaluable ongoing fundraising partnership with the Sit community contributing financial resources towards lifeline’s 24-hour crisis support line: 13 11 14 and local core services.

Together we can save lives.
Just $38 enables one trained lifeline crisis supporter to provide critical phone support.
